Join us at 6:30 PM on Thursday, January 9 at the McDowell Senior Center. Our guest speaker will be the manager of the Tractor Supply, who will demonstrate how to set up a bear fence and share important tips for maintaining it year-round. Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene to forage vegetation, bears may be more aggressive in their search for food, so it's essential for the county's beekeepers to be ready.
